This vintage French medal of Saint Mary Magdalene has been recast in sterling silver and hangs from an 18 inch fine sterling silver chain. It depicts her on her knees in la Sainte-Baume, the Cave in the South of France where she spent the last 30 years of her life in prayer and contemplation. The words over her are "Ste Marie Madeleine priez pour nous" (Saint Mary Magdalene pray for us). The reverse of the medal has the Latin words DIMISSA SUNT EI PECCATA MULTA, which means MANY SINS ARE FORGIVEN HER. In the center of the back it reads "Souvenir de la Sainte Baume."
