The is an antique French and very rare medal of Sainte Magdaleine (Mary Magdalene) holding her crucifix with the skull nearby. The reverse of the medal depicts Jesus at the Crucifixion with Mary Magdalene weeping at his feet. The French words on the back are: JÉSUS AYEZ PITIÉ DE NOUS or JESUS HAVE PITY ON US. The medal is made of sterling silver and measures 20 x 28.5mm.
