The medal measures 14mm in diameter and is sterling silver.

SAINTE SARAH, also known as Sara-la-Kali, is the patron saint of the Romani people. The center of her veneration is Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, a place of pilgrimage for Roma in the Camargue, in southern France.

SAINTES MARIES DE LA MER - In 47AD Mary Magdalene and her companions were forced out of Palestine after the Resurrection of Jesus and sailed in a boat from Palestine to Gaul (now France) landing in a fishing village near Marseille, which now claims the name Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Saint Sarah was the young woman who greeted them when their boat landed. There is an annual gathering in the town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. May 24th is Sarah's Procession (the patron saint of the Gypsies) and May 25th is a procession to venerate the memories of the three saints.
