Medal - St Anthony of Padua 19x30mm - Sterling Silver
This beautiful medal is a rare antique medal of Saint Anthony of Padua & the Baby Jesus. It is made of sterling silver and measures 19 x 30mm.
On the back of the medal are the faded Italian words: RICORDO DI PADOVA or REMEMBRANCE OF PADUA, the town in Italy where Saint Anthony died (June 13, 1231) and was buried. Saint Anthony was canonized (was declared a Saint in the Catholic Church) one year after his death. Later a basilica was erected in his honor in the center of Padua.
