This vintage Mary of Magdala medal captures her holding her alabaster jar in her left elegant hand. I have recast it in sterling silver. The writing "Ste MAGD" stands for "Saint Mary Magdalene" and the "P.P.N." stands for "prier pour nous" or "pray for us." The back of the medal has a beautiful lily tied with a ribbon. The medal is large - the size of a quarter or 25mm. The medal hangs from an 18 inch Italian sterling silver chain. This necklace would be a real treasure for one with a special devotion to Saint Mary Magdalene.
